KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Senior Superindendent I, TMM Engineer

The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To plan, organise and ensure the execution of all maintenance and service work of TM3 machines in support of mining production. The incumbent supervises specialists and the scope / portfolio of this role includes the organisation of teams, improving departmental troubleshooting and analysis capabilities, proposing solutions and generally enabling the TM3 team to ensure the availability of TM3 machines, and integrating TM3 functions with HSEQ, HR and Finance

You will have the following:

• Must have a Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
•  Must be a Registered Certified Engineer
• Must have at least 8 years relevant experience in mechanical-electrical maintenance working on mining machines, analysing and resolving problems, and directing a team
• Must have at least 8 years working in the underground mining environment
• Proficiency in business English is mandatory.  Working knowledge of French will be considered highly advantageous.

• Process: Supervise a world class TMM Engineering function
• Ensure the availability of TM3 machines for the benefit of mining production and business continuity

• Stakeholder management- Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
• People -Coordinate, monitor and supervise the performance of direct reports
