KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Specialised Artisan, Mechanical and Fitting
The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometers west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To manage and ensure safe and effective operation and maintenance of the Smelter mechanical equipment according to production targets. The incumbent supervises assistant mechanics to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Smelter mechanical equipment.
You will have the following:
- Must have a Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Must have at least 6 years’ experience working a copper smelting environment
- Must have at least 6 years’ experience in plant maintenance of the smelter equipment
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. French and Swahili will be considered highly advantageous.

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
- Manage and ensure safe and effective operation and maintenance of Smelter mechanical equipment
- Ensure effective maintenance and upkeep of the Smelting Plant equipment and machinery for safe and reliable operations
- Drive effective problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Stakeholder Management -Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
- Coordinate, monitor and supervise the performance of direct reports
- Finance -Monitor costs or expenses to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste
- Transformation -Support the Transformation agenda
- HSEQ: integrate HSEQ into all work processes
