KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Foreman Mechanical.
The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometers west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To monitor, coordinate and control maintenance teams to ensure availability of Plant equipment for operations. The incumbent supervises specialist Artisans, and the scope / portfolio of this role includes planning, tasking and checking preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring Plant equipment availability.
You will have the following:
• Must have a least an N4 Certificate
• Must be a Qualified Trade tested Artisan
• Must have completed relevant safety and risk assessment training and courses
• Must have at least 8 years’ experience as a post qualified trade tested artisan in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Must have at least 3 years supervisory experience
• Experience in a concentrator environment is highly advantageous
• Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French, Swahili, and Mandarin will be considered highly advantageous.

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
• Process: Coordinate teams of artisans to maintain Plant
• Prioritize preventative maintenance scheduling, repairs, breakdown repairs and delivery in accordance with business objectives
• Monitor and control business processes according to quality standards, policy, and compliance and governance requirements in area of accountability
• Manage and oversee Contractors and service providers
• Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
• People- Contribute to building a high-performing team
• Finance -Monitor costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste
• HSEQ - HSEQ into all work processes
