KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Superintendent I, Equipment
The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To manage and coordinate inspection and maintenance of Smelter plant equipment. The incumbent coordinates contractors and supervises specialists, and the scope/portfolio of this role includes ensuring equipment is inspected, maintained and operational, liaising with and supervising contractors, managing work orders, ensuring safe work practices, and managing the execution and delivery of maintenance projects
You will have the following:
- Must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Must have at least 6 years’ experience in equipment maintenance management.
- Must have experience in smelting processes, preferably in copper.
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Working knowledge of French will be considered highly advantageous.
Role Specific Knowledge Skills:
- Proficient in the inspection and maintenance of equipment in the smelter
- Deal with production emergencies

- Process: Render maintenance services to production
- Deliver on the operating plan - Maintain the plant equipment
- Drive effective problem solving and continuous improvement
- Function as a Maintenance subject matter expert
- Stakeholder Management - Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
- People -Coordinate, monitor and supervise the performance of direct reports
- Finance - Monitor costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste
- Transformation -Support the Transformation agenda
- HSEQ- Integrate HSEQ into all work processes
