KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Superintendent I, Maintenance Planner (TM3) – (2 positions available)

The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To ensure planned maintenance and servicing of TM3 equipment is carried out efficiently and safely using sound judgement to meet the objective of maximising production capability.

You will have the following:

  • Must hold a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • A Trade Tested Certificate in a Mechanical Trade will be an added advantage.
  • Must have 8–10 years of relevant experience in maintenance and engineering within a mining environment
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience working with the JDE system.
  • Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and Swahili will be considered a strong advantage.

Technical Skills should include:

  • Computer Literacy

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:

  • Ensure maximum availability and reliability of TM3 mining fleet
  • Plan and schedule the maintenance and servicing of TM3 fleet to ensure business continuity and meet production targets
  • Condition Monitoring- Own and manage the machine oil sampling and testing process, and take remedial and preventative action where necessary
  • Implement, monitor and control business processes according to quality standards, policy, and compliance and governance requirements in area of accountability
  • People - Contribute to building a high-performing team
  • Finance - Monitor costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste
  • Transformation - upport Transformation in terms of people, automation/ digitisation and sustainability
  • HSEQ- Integrate HSEQ into all work processes
  • Contribute to Reporting, Governance and Quality Assurance for area of responsibility
