KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Managerial Leader I, Finance
The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To lead the systematic review, appraisal and optimisation of KCSA’s finance operations (including financial planning & analysis, management accounting, financial accounting, operations finance & tax) and execute on the company’s financial strategy in line with shareholders’ commercial aspirations. The incumbent is responsible for the preparation of monthly management and shareholder reports and will leverage data analytics to identify opportunities for cost control and profitability optimisation, in addition to standing in for the Finance Executive when necessary. This role manages senior professionals, and the scope of the role includes Tax, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounting, Treasury, Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting, Compliance, CAPEX and Budgeting.
You will have the following:
- Must have a Post qualification in Accountancy and Finance
- Must be Professional qualified in Accountancy and Finance (Chartered Accountant “CA”/ Certified Public Accountant “CPA)
- Must have at least 10 - 15 years' experience in Finance, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Must have at least 10 years’ experience in the mining environment, and delta experience would be advantageous
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and Swahili will be considered highly advantageous.

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
- Define, continuously improve upon, and monitor implementation of integrated Finance structures, policies, plans and governance structures
- Lead the systematic review, appraisal and optimisation of KCSA’s finance operations and oversee the day-to-day functioning
