KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Superintendent II, Equipment SFP
The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To manage the execution of all maintenance work within the Slag Flotation Plant in support of slag production. The incumbent supervises specialists, and the scope / portfolio of this role includes the inspection, maintenance and repair of the Slag Flotation Plant, and the completion of monthly and annual output tasks.
You will have the following:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- 8 years’ relevant experience in copper smelting
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Working knowledge of French will be considered highly advantageous
Role Specific Knowledge Skills:
- Operation, control and maintenance of flash furnaces, process flow
- Troubleshooting
- Smelting methodologies
- Maintenance methodologies
- Ability to deal with emergencies in the plant
- DRC Legislature knowledge

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
- Manage a world class maintenance function
- Deliver on the Construction and Trial Operation plan
- Maintain the Slag Flotation Plant
- Drive effective problem solving and continuous improvement
- Function as a Slag Flotation Plant maintenance subject matter expert
- Stakeholder management -Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
- People - Coordinate, monitor and supervise the performance of direct reports
- Finance - Monitor costs or expenses to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste
- Support the Transformation agenda
- Integrate HSEQ into all work processes
