KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Advanced Life Support Paramedic

The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To provide life support paramedic assistance to incidents at various locations, providing critical care and support to Medical and Trauma cases as well as assisting the Doctors with Primary health care of staff on site and the community when required

You will have the following:

  • Must hold a Advanced Life Support Qualification.
  • Certificate in Firefighter 1 & 2, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, International Trauma Life Support, Paediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Medical Rescue, is an added advantage.
  • Must have 8 years’ experience as a paramedic.
  • Must have at least 2 years mining environment as an Expat.
  • Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and Swahili will be considered a strong advantage.

Role Skills should include:

  • Mine Rescue Services Training and/or Training
  • Advanced Driving Skills
  • Proven experience as a paramedic
  • Licenced Paramedic with advanced qualifications

Technical Specific Knowledge:

  • Heavy Duty Drivers Licence
  • Knowledge of medical procedures, terminology and medications
  • Excellent working knowledge of medical equipment and devices
