KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Superintendent II, Mines( 3 positions)
The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines 39.6%) Zijin Mining Group (39.6%Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%)and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo 20%.It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To manage and co-ordinate the efforts of a team at Kansoko mine to safely and efficiently extract ore to meet targets. This requires the management of direct reports as well as specialists to achieve Meters and Tons targets as per organisational strategy and objectives
You will have the following:
- Must have a Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency and a Blasting Certificate
- A completed diploma/ degree in Mining Engineering is preferred.
- Must have at least 8 years underground and mechanised mining experience
- Must have at least 4 years’ experience as a Shift Supervisor

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
- Process: Coordinate and manage a world class Mining function at Kansoko mine
- Embed effective and efficient production processes, plans and governance structures
- Lead tactical direction setting and plan for the business area in alignment to the company’s strategy
- Drive effective problem solving and continuous improvement
- Stakeholder Management -Drive relationships with stakeholders to enable optimisation of the business value chain
- People - Manage the Kansoko Mining function to build people, value difference and create an inclusive work environment
- Finance - Ensure financial integrity of area of responsibility
- Transformation -rive transformation in terms of people, automation/ digitisation and sustainability and provide timely and robust change management to underpin initiatives
- HSEQ- Embed and drive a work ethos that is committed to safeguarding employee safety, health and wellbeing
- Manage Reporting and Governance for area of responsibility
